Imagine a company filled with integrity, reliability, perseverance, and hard work that always keeps the customer in the forefront. How amazing would that be. Charles Newell, President of Minnesota Freezer Warehouse Company in Austin and Albert Lea, Minnesota, said, “The Newell family has stood for imagination, perseverance, and reliability to our customers, employees, and community. As the fourth-generation leader of Minnesota Freezer Warehouse Company, I am committed to carrying on the legacy of my family to care for your perishables from the manufacturer to the supermarket.”
“At MFWC we are not the most famous or flashy at what we do, because that is not what motivates us. Because ultimately your brand matters to us!” We take the time to build the relationships and the lines of communication with our customers. We work hard to understand your needs so that our services can ultimately enhance your brand. We are not in the business to disappoint; we strive to keep our promises, and to follow through on our word.
The history of Minnesota Freezer Warehouse Company goes way back to 1915, when a warehouse was built in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to offer cold food storage services for produce and creameries. In four short years, the business grew enough to be offered a cold storage warehouse license by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture—a huge accomplishment. Several years later, Minnesota Freezer Warehouse Company moved away from the creamery and produce portion and instead formed an affiliate company, building new warehouses in Albert Lea and Worthington, Minnesota, offering services to beef and pork producers. In 1992, they expanded their business and operations to Austin, Minnesota, where they remain today.
